At Merello, we continue to support our customers in the automation of their packaging processes. On this occasion, we are sharing a preview of the final tests of the ME-715 thermoforming machine before its shipment and installation at the customer’s facilities.
In the configuration shown in the video, the line is running with whole cheese blocks, although it has been designed to offer maximum versatility and to adapt to different formats according to production needs.

Versatility for different cheese formats
One of the strengths of this ME-715 is its ability to adapt to multiple product formats. In addition to whole pieces, the line can pack:
- Cheese wedges
- Quarters
- Other special formats defined by the customer
This is made possible by its servo-driven lifting groups, which ensure precise positioning of the product in each cavity, guaranteeing a uniform presentation and a stable process even at high output rates.
A line equipped for maximum presentation and traceability
The ME-715 thermoforming machine has been configured as a complete packaging solution, incorporating several key elements for the cheese sector:
- Cross-cut system for flexible film
Allows the use of flexible film, optimising material consumption and adapting to different thicknesses and qualities. - Die-cutting system for a high-presentation finish
Die-cutting provides a defined, attractive finish to the pack, improving shelf presentation and reinforcing brand image. - Dual inkjet printing system
Integrated into the line to ensure product traceability and coding (batches, use-by dates, codes, etc.), in compliance with regulatory requirements and those of the end customer. - Dual Merello labeller
Allows labels to be applied in different positions or on different sides of the pack, making it easy to include commercial, nutritional or branding information. - 4 interchangeable packaging formats
The line is supplied with four packaging formats that the customer can switch between depending on product type or campaign, increasing flexibility without the need for a new machine.
